What Data Does Uptime.com Collect and Store?

Uptime.com is a site monitoring solution that pings various endpoints & notifies our users via email, SMS & other push notifications when downtime is detected. Additionally, downtime & response time data is collected & stored & provided via reports to our users.

The most sensitive data being stored by Uptime.com is user email addresses, user cell phone numbers, and credentials for transaction checks . Your Transaction check may include login/passwords, as stated in our support documentation under Authentication and Settings, We highly recommend that you create unprivileged test credentials for any checks that utilize HTTP basic auth. Uptime.com includes password masking for passwords used in synthetic monitoring. Ordinarily, Uptime.com identifies a password field and automatically obscures the text.
