We are pleased to announce the kick off of our migration to a new, improved check execution system starting on June 1st, 2026.
With over a decade of experience as a leader in the monitoring industry, we have completed a ground up redesign of our check execution engine.
This ensures we can continue offering the most competitive prices, efficient executions, and continue expanding our check offerings in both location and type.
What does this mean for you?
We will be rolling out upgrades to existing check execution servers/locations. We kindly ask that you follow our status page and adjust your firewall rules/allow lists to accept traffic from new IPs.
Additionally, our new monitoring system will identify itself with the following User Agents:
General User-Agent
Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Uptime/2.0; http://uptime.com)Transaction Check User Agent for Desktop Sites
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/147.0.7727.57 Safari/537.36 Uptime/2.0 (https://uptime.com)Transaction Check User Agent for Mobile Sites
Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; Android 10) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/147.0.7727.57 Mobile Safari/537.36 Uptime/2.0 (https://uptime.com)
Please ensure that any User-Agent-based filtering on your side allows traffic from this identifier.
These are the only actions needed on your end to take advantage of the new check execution infrastructure. Our top priority is to maintain stability while ensuring a smooth transition in the short term.
Looking Forward
By the end of the year, we expect our legacy system to be entirely replaced by the new system. Every server change will be announced on the Uptime Status Page.
If you have a feature in mind that would help serve or improve your monitoring needs, now is a great time to visit our Feature Request Board and upvote or submit your idea!
Watch out for more announcements from the Uptime team on the migration, including announcements of new IP addresses for your allow lists.
