I Received an SSL Error on an HTTPS Check

If you encounter the error message: HTTP CRITICAL - Invalid HTTP response received from host on port 443: cURL returned 60 - SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate on an HTTPS check, this is due to the fact that your URL’s SSL certificate is unable to locate the issuer. This message may also be produced as a result of an incomplete chain.

In such situations, third-party SSL certificate checker tools such as Qualys SSL Labs can help with validation and troubleshooting of the issue. For example, in the below screenshot, the tool shows that the certificate chain is incomplete.
 

 
Further testing validation can be accessed in your Uptime.com account. From the Monitoring section, select Add New, and choose the SSL Check type. Click the Run Test button to see if the test returns a SSL_CERT CRITICAL error, which will also show a similar message.


 
For your check to pass, we suggest either resolving the chain issues (the most recommended),  You also have the option of setting the Verify certificates setting to Off in the Optional Tab,
