Using Uptime.com with AI Assistants: MCP Server and Plugins

Use the Uptime.com MCP server and our plugins to power your monitoring service through natural language conversations with an AI agent like Claude.

The Uptime.com MCP Server brings your monitoring data directly into AI-powered workflows. By implementing the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard that allows AI assistants to interact with external tools and services, the server enables assistants like Claude to provide information on your monitoring setup and perform actions inside your Uptime.com account. The natural language processing power of AI assistants allows you to give commands and have the MCP server perform the appropriate action with no additional input from you.

Once connected, an AI assistant can perform a wide range of monitoring tasks across your Uptime.com account. This includes creating and managing checks, reviewing alerts and outage history, managing contacts, building and updating dashboards, and managing status pages and their incidents. The assistant can also retrieve your account usage information, such as the number of additional checks available. This can be done through a local AI client such as Claude Code or through hosted streamable HTTP deployments.

MCP Server: Uptime-mcp

The Uptime.com MCP server is the generalized framework that allows AI assistants to communicate with your Uptime.com account. For full technical information on the capabilities of the server and its implementation, see the Github page for Uptime-mcp.

Plugin: Uptime-skills

Uptime.com Skills for Claude Code is an additional plugin that provides AI agent skills and context for working with Uptime’s monitoring infrastructure. The plugin simplifies deployment and offers skills that can be invoked with specific commands to perform common actions like performance reporting and planning checks for a domain. For full technical information on its capabilities and implementation, see the Github page for Uptime-skills.
